The bus cannot accommodate motorised / scooter style or the Parks Victoria all-terrain wheelchairs due to access limitations.  Bicycles cannot be taken on the bus.

This service is operated by Ventura Buslines under permit arrangement with Parks Victoria. Tickets are available for purchase from the driver at the designated stops. Most credit cards and cash accepted. Tickets are valid for the day of purchase only.  One-way tickets are not available.

Change of Conditions

Nature being nature, sometimes conditions can change at short notice. It’s a good idea to check this page ahead of your visit for any updates.

  • Point Nepean National Park

    Park closed - 5pm to 12am - Thursday 15 May - Friday 16 May

Point Nepean National Park will be closed to all visitors during our scheduled animal control shooting activity. This is for public safety and is enforceable by regulation. Penalties apply for anyone entering the park during the closure.

Entry to the park will be restricted from 3.30pm.

    Fox Control Program

Parks Victoria are undertaking fox control in Point Nepean National Park to relieve predation of vulnerable and threatened native fauna. Programs involve the use of soft jaw leg hold traps, Canid Pest Ejectors and para-aminopropiophenone (PAPP) poison, as well as buried PAPP poison, to bait foxes in strategic locations.
Fox trapping and baiting will occur until June 2025.
Dogs are prohibited from entering Point Nepean National Park. If pets are suspected of having consumed a PAPP bait during the baiting period, a vet should be consulted immediately. An antidote to PAPP (methylene blue) is available and stocked by most vets on the Mornington Peninsula.

  • Point Nepean Quarantine Station (Point Nepean National Park)

Boiler House restricted access due to repair and improvement works

We are completing upgrades to the Boiler House, to provide more ways to experience this special place.
During May - June 2025, this area of the park may be temporarily closed to public access and there may
    be some construction noise.

For more information about the signage and interpretation upgrade, please contact the Parks Victoria team at
    [email protected] or call 13 19 63.

  • Fort Nepean (Point Nepean National Park)

Access restricted to tracks and gun emplacements

The Engine House Walk, the circuit track at Fort Nepean, has been impacted by erosion and a section is closed for safety reasons. The outside of the Engine House can still be visited by steps.

Entry to Gun emplacements #5 and #6 is restricted at this time, however they can be viewed from behind safety barriers. We will be undertaking some works, which will hopefully allow these to be fully accessible to visitors in the future.

  • Notices Affecting Multiple Sites
